Social study homework

January 10th

1)Life in Vietnam would be perfect if everyone were totally equal.  Do you agree or disagree?  Explain your answer in complete sentences.

My answer is agree. Because on some cases, people need equality. But I one-hundred-percent believe that it'll never be good if anything is equal.

2)You are designing a society in which everyone is equal. What are the laws?

I think Others that are better must help lower ones to be the same as themselves. No one is allowed to wear make-up to look pretty. 

3)What would you do to help people who were less capable mentally, physically, or socially to “catch up”?

I will send people with less capable to the hospital and maybe send some to take care of them. For people with metal problem, they will have a home tutor and help them catch up.

4)What problems can you foresee that might come in a society with laws that force “equality for all”? How would you handle those problems?

I do not understand that question... 

5)Do you believe that total equality is possible, or would human nature make sure that some people would eventually dominate others?

I wouldn't say total equality because in this modern world nothing is equal, everyone is different from the others.

6)In what situations have you felt similarly to any of the characters? What persons, places, or ideas from your own experience came to mind while you were reading this story? Try to list as least two examples.

I do not know.

Final Semester 1 (Quater 2)

As mentioned in class, your semester final will be a compare and contrast essay.  I have not fully narrowed it down to what the topic questions will be, but some of the examples that I gave in class are as follows:

• A countries current economy and its historical economy
• Traditional versus modern means of production
• Developing and Developed economies
• Two of the five countries that we examine

I want you to start thinking about this essay as we go through our daily lessons.  Try to connect what we learn in class through lectures, notes, assignments, and activities to what is required of you for your final essay.
